Fiberglass Covers, Integral Walking Surface, Handrail & Connecting Bridges
The COMPOSOLITE® tank cover panels are only 3 1/8” thick, yet strong enough to clearspan the 15’ diameter tanks while supporting the new handrail, access hatches, nozzles, and human traffic.  Furthermore, the bridges between tanks are integral extensions of the tank cover panels.

Since project completion, plant engineers and insurance agents alike have been able to sleep easy for the first time in years.

Project Complete!
As seen in the ‘Before’ photos, the steel tank tops and handrails had decayed severely.

GEF replaced both of the rotting wooden tanks with fiberglass, then designed, fabricated, and installed COMPOSOLITE® covers on the remaining wooden tanks.  Additionally, GEF replaced all of the failing metal handrail and grating with fiberglass.
